A few weeks ago we started a new leadership series with Diane Egbers of Leadership Excelleration. Specifically, this podcast series is about agile leadership.

In Part 1 - Agile Leadership with Diane Egbers, we talked about some of the core elements of agile leadership and why it is important to schools. And if you recall, there are some components to the agile leader. Adventure, which we discussed last time, and Empower, which we discuss in this episode.

Find out more how the Empower role complements the Adventure role that we discussed last time.

Diane Egbers, from Leadership Excelleration (LEI) and co-author of The Ascending Leader.

Kirk Koennecke is the current and new superintendent at the Indian Hills Schools in the Cincinnati (OH) area.

He's not new to the superintendent position. He's been a superintendent before, but he just now stepped into this role at Indian Hills Schools, and he brings a wealth of experience.

Now that schools are underway, this is the perfect person and time to talk about how school superintendents can get to know their communities. He has advice and potential pitfalls to be aware of as one acclimated to that role. He also has some definite ideas on how communications fits into being a modern superintendent.
